Hump Day

Hi friends! Last night's dinner was un-eventful on my end. We ended up going to Bella-Roma's for Wings Night. I had a hamburger of course b/c wings are farrrr too messy. I have been banging out burp-clothes left and right for family and friends (Cheeks McGee has gotten my best ones of course!) and I found an appliqué design from one of my favorite blog sites that I really want to put on a onesie, but decided to see what I could do with sewing it onto burp cloth since I didn't have any kind of bonding or other appliqué materials. Things went really well considering this was the first time I have ever tried a rounded corner, or anything besides a straight line with a basic running stitch. Also had to change the tension and loop spacing so needless to say I was feeling like quite the daredevil last night. I cut out the different pieces for the cupcake and sewed that on with a loud sigh of relief that everything was somewhat decent. Then, I started to add a satin ribbon at the bottom. I forgot to change the tension and loop distance and my machine jammed up on me. This was the last of my black satin ribbon, so now I have half a ribbon sewed on with really reallllllly tight stiching that is giving me a hard time when I try to get the stitches out. Looks like I wont be able to recycle this ribbon like I had hoped. Maybe I'll find something prettier when paychecks come in and I can go shopping. Here's the pic of the burp cloth. Have a great day! Oh, and by the way, go find one of your local Girl Scouts and buy her out of business!! If not that, you MUST try the Edy's Tagalong (MY FAVORITE!) or Samoas Ice Cream!!!... HOLY HANNAH!! IT'S SOOOOOO GOOD!
